Keep the Extra Fluoride Out of My Water

I have a water dispenser where I work from the Mount Olympus water company where their slogan reads;

"What Is NOT In Your Water Is Important to You and Your Family.

With Mount Olympus, You Can Be Sure."

Then they proceed to state;

"For centuries a clear mountain spring on Mount Olympus has flowed pure and sweet, low in total dissolved solids, high in oxygen, imparting a clean, crisp flavor.

With beginnings as Mount Olympus Fruit and Livestock Farm Company, Mount Olympus was founded in 1898. Our spring and the mountain from which it comes has become your signature of quality assurance.

Mount Olympus spring Water flows from protected source in the Federally-designated Mount Olympus Wilderness Area Mount Olympus is free of chlorine, cryptosporidium, giardia and pharmaceuticals. Our spring water is tested in our laboratory many times per hour to assure consistent quality and absolute safety."

I called them to ask if they fluoridated their water and the answer was yes. I e-mailed them about this issue (see reply below).

Is it really necessary to fluoridate water in order to have healthy teeth? NO. According to fluoridealert.org

"Most recent, large-scale studies have found that fluoridated water provides only a minor benefit to teeth, or no demonstrable benefit at all. According to a recent Canadian government review: "The magnitude of fluoridation's effect is not large in absolute terms, is often not statistically significant and may not be of clinical significance."

Moreover, according to the National Academy of Sciences, fluoride is not an essential nutrient. This means that no human disease - including tooth decay - will result from a "deficiency" of fluoride. Thus, unlike real nutrients like calcium and magnesium, the human body does not need fluoride for any physiological process."

If this is true, then why do water company's and municipal water sources continue to put more fluoride than is naturally accruing in our water? Some people believe it's to dumb people down, literally.

I got an e-mail the next day from Mount Olympus that clarified the fluoridation of their water;

Thank you for showing interest in Mount Olympus products, you can rest assured that we do not add fluoride to our all natural spring water which is listed on the analytical as spring water bottle and source. We do however have a small number of customers that request a fluoridated water and feel more comfortable with a product that is manufactured in a very controlled environment and that is subjected to 3^rd party audits.

The bottles are clearly identified preventing unwanted products from being distributed to those customers not wanting fluoride additionally we only offer fluoridated water in 5 gallon home and office bottles and by request only. We do not offer fluoride in any other package and currently do not provide any fluoridated water to any retail outlets.

It's amazing that people request fluoride in they water, they just don't know any better. That's the problem with government propaganda.

Water fluoridation. Why???

I'm sorry, but putting a highly toxic chemical into our drinking water to prevent cavities is 100% insane!! They say that it's in such small amounts that it's beneficial and that it wont harm you. Would you think it's OK to medicate someone without their permission? Well, that's exactly what their doing. Water fluoridation violates the Nuremberg code for human experimentation. Look it up.

It's funny how the "Fluoride Information Network" or the IFN claims that fluoride in the drinking water is really helping disadvantaged children and that some how it promotes health. Only problem is that they fail to explain how.
That it's a long term approach towards solving problems. But again they fail to state what problems there solving. They claim it prevents disease, but they fail to mention what diseases they prevent. This next part is cut and pasted direct from there website.

- Notice how they say AVAILABLE evidence.

-What the hell are they trying to say??? "and should not constitute an insurmountable burden to those who object to them for personal reasons" Give me a break!

"Understanding that any policy involves a balance between risk, cost, and benefit."

-They clearly state that it's a risk!!

"Understanding that there can be no absolute certainty in public health matters, but that there are reasonable standards of evidence that most of our community can accept to use in making policy decisions."
-So, there not certain as far as public health is concerned. I like how they say "reasonable standards of evidence" They are basically making their own rules.

"Adding fluoride to drinking water is an important element in promotion of dental health along with education and access to dental care."

-What?? How does water fluoridation promote education and allow access to dental care?? Are they claiming that fluoride in the drinking water is dental care??

OK, so now were going to talk about what other people have to say about water fluoridation, what it really does, and where these chemicals come from.

95% of all European countries put a stop to water fluoridation. It slowly builds up in your bones and can make them brittle. Between 30 and 50% of children have dental fluorosis on at least two teeth in optimally fluoridated communities
(Heller et al, 1997 and McDonagh et al, 2000). In human studies the fluoridating agents most commonly used in the US not only increase the uptake of lead into the blood of children (Masters and Coplan, 1999, 2000) but are also associated with an increase in violent behavior. The ingredients they use to fluoridate your drinking water:

-Sodium Fluoride: It is considered the reference standard to fluoridate the water. Sodium Fluoride is poison. It's been used in rat poison and a insecticides that kill cockroaches!

- Fluorosilicic acid: It is a cheap liquid byproduct from phosphate fertilizer manufactures. Here's the label.


It just doesn't make any sense. Why spend money to put fluoride in our drinking water, when statistics prove it really does nothing but harm people. Maybe this list of what can be caused by water fluoridation will shed a little light to what there doing.

Why would anybody in there right mind put fluoride in our water? I guess the more issues people have, the more money there is to be made by the drug companies to fix those issues. It's a bit easier to control a dumber population.

Here's a map to see how fluoridated your water is.I'm coming to find out fluoride is in a lot more things than just our public drinking water. It's in bottled water as well. It's actually found in most processed foods that you eat and beverages that you drink. Oddly enough fluoride is found in industrial waste, medications, household products, pesticides, freon, carpet and even the clothes on your back.
